after "Setting the system clock" my Lenny is completely freezing

hi

I have fresh Lenny installation on my notebook eee 1000H installiert,
but sometimes it won't boot past "Setting the system clock" and the system is system completely freezing.
I cannot do anything, I can only press the Power off button.

what's wrong or is it a BUG ?
