Hardware issues

Hi,

I maintain my equipment and attempt to keep things updated. Of late my Dell XPS702 Laptop has given some major hardware issue. First off my Wireless mini-pci Intel card started failing. I contacted Dell.com via chat to get a replacement card. The rep replied it would cost $99 for the card. I asked him if the unit supported Bluetooth? He stated no! I asked for a compatible device that supported through 'N' and support Bluetooth. He came back with a device that met these specs for...

Hi,

Just got a contractor to setup a C6 base pad for the new Shop building. The base took 32 tons of C6 rock. The building is due for completion in 3 weeks. I will need to run the power underground with tie in to a sub-circuit in the house. Service head is large enough to support expansion. It won't be long before I start moving tools to the shop. Really anxious now to get this project closed so I can get more work done before summers end.

Hi,

Been a while since I made a blog entry. Lot has happened since the initial entry. I am now a LQ moderator that takes up time for my duties. I do enjoy helping other LQ members whenever possible. I have sold the farm therefore the horses had to find a new home and I moved to town to live in a historical home we had to purchase.

Love the convenience of living in town but miss the solitude of the country. I lost all my storage (barn) & workshop. I am in the process...

Hi,

I don't blog that often. To date I have not had a blog! I do read some blogs but the composition along with grammar tends to turn me off. Add in spelling, netspeak or AOL type entries and you will loose me.

I work with the 'Slackware-Links' wiki. More than just Slackware® links! This wiki has been a interesting creation. To date it requires a lot of my time. I do hope it provides useful tools, links and even GNU/Linux to the multiple users.
