wireshark preferences file location

Hi

What is the location of the wireshark/tshark preferences file (or the name if it is not called as preferences) on the gutsy ubuntu.
man excerpt
Code:
The global preferences file is looked for in the wireshark directory under the share
subdirectory of the main installation directory
(for example, /usr/local/share/wireshark/preferences) on UNIX-compatible systems
I found the installation under /usr/share/wireshark/wireshark/, but could not locate the preferences file.

Regards

Aditya

I don't appear to have a global preferences file either.

It could be that the global preferences are not used by default, and they need to be enabled or otherwise created manually. All of the per user configuration is under ~/.wireshark.
