unable to logon to samba(linux) from network places


Hi everyone

i am running win 2000 server and linux ubuntu as my client. I can see the client(samba) on my network places under my domain but when i try to logging i can't. I dont know if the problem is on the smb.conf . I have tried all the passwords.

had this recently and it drove me mad... 2003 server and winxp pro desktops accessing deb.

2 things, make sure the samba share is set to share level, it is not by default.

then make sure that the files are chmod'ed correctly
