I need to download Ubuntu for a family member. (He's making the switch to Linux , and I suggested he try MEPIS first because it's what I'm most familiar with it; but he wants Ubuntu.) If there is more than one version of Ubuntu, which one fits onto a single CD? I'm not sure, because I haven't used Ubuntu myself.
Nope. They picked the packages they want you to have, and otherwise you have to use the netinstall (i.e. alternate install CD) or add after the fact from the repos.
