Trying to install ubuntu 6.10 to an external hard drive
Hi, i am trying to install ubuntu 6.10 (using a cd)to an external hard drive, but there comes a stage when im being asked to point to the external drive and must change (hd0) to something for the external HD. i have tried:
(sda)
/sda/
(/sda/)
but no luck at all- i keep getting an "error 22" when it reached the 15% installation mark.
im a complete newbie and any guide would really be appreciated!! im using an hp compaq 2.8ghz, 250mb ram and my external is a usb qmemory 20gig drive- i want to wipe the external completely.
