Screen dims during web videos

I seem to have this problem on my laptop. I will be playing a video on youtube or a similar site and the screen will dim causing the video to mess up. I am running the new 8.10 Ubuntu on my Compaq Presario CQ50-108 laptop. Thanks!

Just make adjustments in the power settings to stop dimming...

System -> Preferences -> Power Management

I turned off dimming but it still does it.

Are you running "fancy desktop eye-candy" (compiz, fusion, whatever it's called now) ?
If so, try turning it off. "Dimming windows" was a "feature" the last time I looked at that stuff.

I think that fixed it. I turned off the fading windows in my compiz settings.
