PHP and Mysql
Hey Everyone,
I have two boxes that that are both running Hoary, one at home and another at work. I was testing drupal (www dot drupal dot org) on my box at home to see how the web interface looked and set up apache2, php4, php4-mysql, mysql, and a few others through apt. Everything works great.
So, I went to do the same with my server at work and when I get the famed:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: mysql_connect() when loading up the first web page.
I looked at the output from phpinfo() on both machines and noticed that php (PHP Version 4.3.10-10ubuntu4.1) was not compiled with mysql (config option --without-mysql).
However, my box at home has a section that says that mysql is enabled and a table listing the various directives whereas the machine at work does not. So far I can tell no difference in the install packages and in php.ini.
Does anyone have any ideas that can help me get php4 to recognize mysql? Where should I start looking?
Thanks,
randyesq
