nvidia-glx crash
I installed via apt-get, nvidia-glx. The display options now allow me to select different resolutions and display rates, which is fine but upon exiting KControl, I get an 'unknown' or something to that effect crash dialog box. That can be closed and I can continue to use the system.
Rebooting does nothing to help the persistent crash dialog. Finally, I removed the nvidia-glx package and the problem went away, but I am a stuck with a single resolution at a 60Hz refresh rate which really tires my old eyes...need something in the 75-85 range.
The monitor is a CRT and I know Nvidia drivers, with 3D enabled, work - at least they did fine running SuSE10 but I got bored with SuSE.
Forgot - I did a dist-upgrade when I installed Kubuntu...
thx
Bob
