It is a java problem in this case I suppose. /edit
For the other idea:
(BTW: it works for me as for the others - I can hear the stream and see the text scroll by.)
Right-clicking the text-area produces a context-menu which pointedly says: "show context"
if I ask it to do so - the whole text is shown in a separate window - much easier to read and no need to listen to him
then look at the name for the audiofile - which is contained in the URL you got:
...play_chapterfile.php?audiofile=ogg/<blahblah.ogg>&textfile=txt/...
- or which you get from the overview: http://flusserstream.khm.de/flussers...?chapter_id=16
...
