libnet-ssleay-perl not installing?

i'm using ubuntu dapper drake. i've updated & upgraded everything to current.

ok, i'm trying to use the mechanize perl module with https support. so i try to install ssleay like this:

apt-get install libnet-ssleay-perl

but after this is installed, i'm still getting errors with mechanize saying that ssleay is not installed.

have i installed it correctly?
