You can try
Code:
apt-get install kde
.
There is also Kubuntu which is Ubuntu with KDE not Gnome.

This is what I get

"Package kde is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
E: Package kde has no installation candidate"

How do i solve this ?

go to the terminal and type:
Code:
sudo nano -w /etc/apt/sources.list
and uncomment the universal respository and hit Ctrl-O and Ctrl-X

search for it in apt,

or in gnome, go to the graphical package manager, click advanced, and search for kde.

Im not sure the search command, I dont't think it is just apt-search, but it might be, do apt-(tab, tab)

*EDIT*
the search command is, apt-cache <package>
