[SOLVED] Is there a way to backup whole operating system and convert to iso?

Hi,

I have operating system installed on Virtual machine based on ubuntu 10.10
i install on it lot of tools and application which i need.

already i update to the latest version of ubuntu.

What i want to know, is there a way to copy the whole system, convert to iso and burn it on CD, so i can install it as a main operating system?

Mondorescue is designed for this very purpose.
