Include directory not present in Apache server

Hello --

I have installed the Apache 2.4.7 server package on an Ubuntu 14.04 server. My next step is to set up the OCSInventory application.

During the installation process, the setup script asks for the location of the include directory which is normally located in the /etc/apache2 folder. However, this folder is not present.

Is this something that can be created manually, or is there another package(s) that need to be installed in order for it to become available?

Thanks.

How did you install apache?
If you used your distro package manager (apt-get) the directory /etc/apache2 should exist. And the include directory is /etc/apache2/conf.d

Hello --

Apache was installed as a series of packages using the apt-get install command syntax. The packages in question are the following:

Quote:
apache2 2.4.7-1ubuntu4.8
apache2-bin 2.4.7-1ubuntu4.8
apache2-data 2.4.7-1ubuntu4.8
apache2-mpm-prefork 2.4.7-1ubuntu4.8
libapache-dbi-perl 1.12-1
libapache2-mod-perl2 2.0.8+httpd24-r1449661-6ubuntu2
libapache2-mod-php5 5.5.9+dfsg-1ubuntu4.14
libapache2-reload-perl 0.12-2
libapr1 1.5.0-1
libaprutil1 1.5.3-1
libaprutil1-dbd-sqlite3 1.5.3-1
libaprutil1-ldap 1.5.3-1
There is no conf.d directory present in the apache2 folder.

Hi,

I don't use Ubuntu, but it looks like from version 13.10 /etc/apache2/conf.d is deprecated in favor of /etc/apache2/conf-available
I guess you have to give that as the include directory when prompted, so your app installs there it's config file.
The trick is that afterwards you have to run the following:
Code:
sudo /usr/sbin/a2enconf OCSInventory
assuming that OCSInventory.conf is the config file inside /etc/apache2/conf-available

Regards
