https://wiki.ubuntu.com/AddingRepositoriesHowto -- missing Settings button.

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/AddingRepositoriesHowto
document reads "Click the Settings button at the bottom and tick".

Once in Repositories, there is no Settings button.

Where can this Settings button mentioned in "AddingRepositoriesHowto" document be found ?

PC running Ubuntu v5.1

At the top of your Synaptic pane, do you see the word "Settings"?

That first "Settings" is exactly as described in the document and I do see it. I selected "Settings" to get to "Repositories".

It is the second "Settings" that is not available as described in the document. Once "Repositories" is in the foreground, "Settings" available earlier can no longer be clicked on as it is in the background. Document describes to click on "Settings" within "Repositories" window. I don't see where this second "Settings" is.

Which buttons are available to you? I haven't run Ubuntu or Synaptic for a while, but do remember that it was fairly straightforward to add repositories.

http://ubuntuguide.org/#extrarepositories these instructions are for an earlier version, but should still apply. This is via the command line.
