from fedora to ubuntu


Hi!
i wan to install the ubuntu with alternate, because i have fedora 9 on my pc, i have a partition with 300 gb data, and i want to keep this partition, ive have made this partition with lvm, can i use the alternate to kepp this partition? ive tried with desktop cd, but it cant do the lvm trick...
i have three logvol, how can i delete only two, the guided lvm partitioning want to delete the entire volume group.

Not quite sure what you mean by "alternate".

You can override (that is, manually change) the Ubuntu chosen partitions arrangement.

Why do you want to install Ubuntu, might it be better to try it as a guest OS in virtualbox/VMware or to use a live CD version?

Posting the output of "sudo fdisk -l" will give people a better idea of your disk arrangement.
