Firefox 1.5 for Ubuntu

I went ot getfirefox web site however it didn't show apt based installation. I do not want to deal with gz distribution. apt-get shows that no updates for FF. Is any simple way to build apt from gz distribution?

You don't really have to install it. All you do is unpack the .gz file and run firefox. No installation. Very easy.

Any experiences, good or bad, with Ubuntu - Firefox 1.5 combination?

BTW Do you need to re-install all plugins or will older version be upgraded only?

It works great if you follow the instructions in the Wiki (except for the one about backing up your settings to the desktop--I just backed up by copying my ~/.mozilla folder and renaming it ~/.mozilla_backup).

The only glitch I found with 1.5 (and this is for Mac, Windows, and Linux) is that Adblock's Obj-Tabs enabled stops Flash from playing properly.
