FIrefox broken (Ubuntu)

I'm not really sure what happened, but whenever I open the extensions window, or themes window, or about:config, and many other things, it pulls up this box saying something about xml parsing error, and won't load. same thing happens if I click on a button on a website. any thoughts?

I got that same error in the other debian based distros I tried, Mepis and Xandros. I think there may be a debian bug somewhere. To get things back to normal, I copied my bookmarks and cookies out of my /home/me/.mozilla folder, deleted that folder, reopened Firefox to make a new .mozilla folder, closed Firefox again, and moved my bookmarks and cookies back. We may have to wait it out until they can get things fixed.

I have Firefox 1.0.6 on both Debian unstable and Ubuntu, both have no problems. Try creating a new profile.
