BFPT parsing failed

Hi,
my Ubuntu version is; Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS.
During boot i see this message:
BFPT parsing failed ....
How to resolve it?.

That isn't the only thing on that line, is it??? Without reporting the ENTIRE message, you're omitting details that would help. And is there an actual PROBLEM you're having, or is this just something you're seeing??? What kind of hardware?? And have you checked the Ubuntu knowledgebase for this??

this is the message during lenovo Thinkpad boot:

I do NOT see issues with it but like to get rid of it.

A web search for SPI_NOR_SKIP_SFDP turns up a number of links, all of which are well over my head.

In my experience, it's not uncommon for boot messages to show various probes as "failing" as the kernel probes the hardware so it knows what it's dealing with. I'd be inclined to suggest that, if the machine is otherwise functioning properly, not to worry unduly about this.

Here's an article from kernel.org about the SPI NOR framework.

Ok...so exactly WHAT are the issues??? What is the actual problem you're having??? Does your system boot/function??? If so, as frankbell said....these are some of the messages you can ignore. Also, you were given a link to the Ubuntu site which says specifically this was addressed and fixed in 23.x...and you are using 22.x

I just googled the issue mentioned in this thread and it seems to have to do with with the SPI sub system in the Linux Kernel however, it could also have to do with an embedded part of the chip set on your mother board.

All of which were noted and the OP even came back to say it was solved. Is there a point to these (MANY) posts you've made lately that have little value to the issues at hand??
