BFPT parsing failed
Hi,
my Ubuntu version is; Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS. During boot i see this message: BFPT parsing failed .... How to resolve it?. |

A web search for SPI_NOR_SKIP_SFDP turns up a number of links, all of which are well over my head.
In my experience, it's not uncommon for boot messages to show various probes as "failing" as the kernel probes the hardware so it knows what it's dealing with. I'd be inclined to suggest that, if the machine is otherwise functioning properly, not to worry unduly about this. Here's an article from kernel.org about the SPI NOR framework. Just my two cents. |

I just googled the issue mentioned in this thread and it seems to have to do with with the SPI sub system in the Linux Kernel however, it could also have to do with an embedded part of the chip set on your mother board.
