Bestcrypt and Kubuntu 7.10, amd64.

Has anyone been able to get Bestcrypt working in K/Ubuntu amd64?
I was able to compile and install, but when I tried to run it, it came back with the message that the modules were not loaded.
I tried loading the modules by hand, and got the error message that there was a unknown symbol in the module(s).
Tried running make mrproper in the kernel source directory, but that didn't change anything.
Any suggestions on how to make Bestcrypt (bctool) work would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
