Any word on Ubuntu on a core duo cpu?

I forget what exactly it is, a different bios or something like? I heard Ubuntu won't install on a new core duo cpu yet. Any word on that?

I don't understand half of your post, but don't be surprised if it dosen't. You have to give brand new hardware some time so people can write the drivers and such for it.

I run Ubuntu on a DualCore.
I first started with the AMD64 kernel (I use an Intel D830 EM64T CPU)
Next I compiled a SMP kernel for 64bits. (I did not find a X_64 SMP kernel, so i made my own...)
It runs fine.
