Question Antiviruses for linux


Are there any decent AV softwares for linux,with a Graphical frontend?

Check this recent thread on this subject. I realize it's not definitive, but we don't seem to have a FAQ that covers this for the home desktop user who has no ports open to the internet.

You can get some comercial versions like Bitdefender, Avast or Clamav with an interface like ClamTK or KlamAV

Well I have recently Installed AVG on my linux system,but I can not find any Icon it in the Gnome menu,Do I need to install something else for this????

I believe that AVG for linux is comand line only... but I may be wrong

AVG doesn't have any GUI, and according to http://tuxradar.com/content/get-best...-scanner-linux is the poorest antivirus software for linux
