squid to cache update for windows and antiviruses


i am setting up a squid caching server for my college network.........
i am using RHEL 3 for the server and squid 2.5 stable3-3.3........
now could anyone guide me on how to i could achieve the caching of the updates for windows and antiviruses...........since the link that we share for 1500 users is 1 mbps.............so i need to maximize my connection speed through caching............

Try to add these lines into squid.conf

refresh_pattern -i v5.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/.*\.(cab|exe) 4320 100% 43200 reload-into-ims
refresh_pattern -i windowsupdate.com/.*\.(cab|exe) 4320 100% 43200 reload-into-ims
refresh_pattern -i download.microsoft.com/.*\.(cab|exe) 4320 100% 43200 reload-into-ims
