Wine Tools Configuration Question in Suse 10

I looked all over the place for this answer but haven't seemed to find one so I thought I'd ask here.

I am running Suse 10 and have installed Wine & Wine Tools. (I installed it through Yast & through Kpackage because the Cmd hasn't worked.) I am told (From Online tutorials & Suse 10 Unleashed book) to type in "wt2" at the shell and I should see a Wine Tools Configuration menu appear. When I type this in I get "Unknown Command."

If I Alt+F2 and type in Wine Tools, that doesn't work either.

Do you have any other suggestions I could try? I am just trying to get Wine configured so I can use it.

Thank you very much in advance for any assistance you can provide.

Hello,

I think the command is just "wt".

Good Luck,

My suggestion would be to type wt and then press tab once or twice in your Konsole. The tab will either default to the only available command or if pressed twice, will list all commands beginning with "wt". Last time I used Wine Tools, it was wt210... but I know 210 is the version, so it might have changed.

Check out VMWare and VMPlayer. Lets you run Windows on top of Suse. You can use VMPlayer free and runs fine. I've got Win98 working perfectly in VMplayer. Just another alternative to Wine

Thank you very much for the replies. The "Tab" request worked and I am now finally configuring Wine.

I will check out the VMware as you reequested. Thank you again!

FWIW, I had little success with the WINE build included in SuSE 10 - I ended up getting a later CVS build. My primary use for WINE: Keeping MSIE 6.0 around for testing web sites.
