Unhappy Virtual Machine OpenSUSE 11.1 Yast problem with repositories

Hi all, I'm on my first day using OS11.1 on as a virtual machine (running on top of Debain)

So far, hating KDE, still, need to test some code on several distros and dont have much time to play with customization and the like (happy Gnome/Openbox user here)

Anyway, every single time I launch YaST2 to add packages, it complains that the file repomd.xml can't be found on any of the repositories that are set up by default.

I tried adding some from the posts here and some from PackMan to no avail

i paste all these repos' URL directly into Firefox and I just can't see that file anywhere I go.

Any help? I admit I'm clueless here

Have you allowed your virtual box to get its own ip on the NIC?
