I haven't been following suse development but I assume GM means Gold Master, ie final version. M is a typo with the looks of it since the link doesn't work.

Bandwidth consumption? That's my guess.

I will wait until next week to grab the DVD. Can't wait to try out SuSE 10.1! I love you SuSE!

Is it just me or is the release of 10.1 a screw up just like the release of 10 was. The only links I can find on the opensse site are to download it via torrent or to download it from there servers. They should have waited till all the iso images were ready, cd, dvd and netinstall options. They should also have let the mirrors download and synch the iso images and then announce it.

Does anyone have a mirror list for 10.1?

I totally I agree with you on this one. The Suse team can't seem to coordinate a release properly. I used the mirror list on the Novell website, but some of the mirrors don't have the opensuse distro.

I was wondering the same thing. I downloaded the 386 isos yesterday in 1/2 the day. Using BT for the x64 version is taking me a day and a half.

Took me three hours to get both i386 and x64. Eleven in all. Not bad considering the traffic and throttling. Though I did switch to mirror.kernel to get the last seven. I averaged about 650KB/sec. You notice OpenSuse.org was down to two webpages to save on bandwidth. Smart on their part.

Still waiting on my x64 Bittorrent to finish up, in 3 hrs. Should've just downloaded isos by now and been done with it.
