Suse 9.3 telnet connecting very slow

Hi,

Connecting via telnet from a LAN PC or other linux server to a SUSE 9.3 box is very slow (10 seconds!) establishing
the connection. Then it is OK. Which is strange is that
it seems the first connection is slow: being in a telnet session a new telnet session is quickly opened.

Thanks for any idea.

Answering myself: just added client IP adresses in /etc/hosts.

Instant connection.
