Suse 9.2 km_smartlink_softmodem

Hi
Have had to rebuild the kernel to my own likes, and am now trying to rebuild the km_smartlink_softmodem modules - found in /usr/src/kernel-modules/km_smartlink_softmodem.

On running make, I get this:

cp /amrlibs.o /amrlibs.o
cp: cannot stat `/amrlibs.o': No such file or directory
make: *** [/amrlibs.o] Error 1

I compliled subfs fine(another standalone kernel module), but this one is causing me grief!
I am obviously doing something wrong - anyone know what?
