Hello everyone,

I purchased the suse 9.1 5CDs yesterday and the
installation is straight forward, although the raid1
setup destroyed all my saved data. :-)

After the installation, I noticed k3b doesn't work
the same way as it did in redhat. I still can burn the
data CD with Rock Bridge & Joliet enabled and it can
be recognized by M$ or Mac. However the video CD copy
doesn't work properly. I tried "normal copy" and
"clone copy". They all finished with successful happy
horn. The burnt CD can't be recognized by VCD machine
or microsoft XP.

I also tried to run "cdrdao" and "cdrecord
--scanbus", which gives me invalid /dev/pg* device
message. My configuration is as following:

AMD duron 800M CPU
768M memory
Suse 9.1
K3b 0.11.x
ATA Plextor 16x CD burner, DMA16 enabled
ATA Samsung CDROM, DMA16 enabled

I also searched online and most cases are SCSI
burner, which I don't have in my pc.

finally, I found the solution by replace the driver - plextor by generic-mmc in cdrdao command. This works like a charm.
