suse 64 with i585 packs?

I have SuSE 10.1 for x64_64 DVD here. I will install it on my friends' computer (athlon 64).

SuSE 64 is exactly the same thing as 32?
On the DVD I can see there are some i585 packs like OpenOffice which I will install. Is it possible to run i585 that are on the SuSE DVD on a athlon 64 with SuSE x86_64???
