Question SuSE 10 Enterprise Desktop Packaging issues

Hello all, I am new to the SuSE world, I recently switched over from MEPIS, I am having a total lacking of understanding on how to find packaging for my system, I played with suse 10 and remember synaptic, but now that seems gone, and I need some packages, fye games, gdesklets, utilities, and tried using the yast install source and setting it to various ftp sites but still seem to not find even the most basic of packages. This is foreign to me because I am used to Bash apt-get commands. So far I really like this distro, but will flock back to Debian if I cannot find the software I need. I would hope I dont have to compile everything LoL
