sled 10 as host for VMWARE

Any installation issues with VMWARE using SLED 10 as host.

I'm running some Guest Windows VM's under VMWARE running on SUSE 10

My main issues are --

1) if SLED is based on 10.1 there were some issues getting VMWARE to run on 10.1 I don't want to upset my currently running SUSE 10 system if SLED won't install VMWARE (a MUST HAVE app for me).

2) Wireless networking -- I still am using an Orinoco (Lucent Technologies) Gold card (OK its 11 Mb instead of 55) but worked stright out of the box on SUSE 10. I am using Bridged and NAT networking for the Windows VM's.

I did get a linksys wpc card to work with ndiswrapper in SUSE 10 as well but I know there were issues with this on 10.1

Anybody up and running SLED 10 with VMWARE.

By all accounts SLED 10 could be a winner.

Cheers
-k

wget http://platan.vc.cvut.cz/ftp/pub/vmware/vmware-any-any-update101.tar.gz
tar -xvf vmware-any*
cd vmware-any*
sudo runme.pl

That will then be your vmware-config.pl
