Is there a way to update the kernel through YOU? (SuSE 9 Pro)

Hey all,

I tried updating my kernel by compiling it -- no success.
Then I tried installing the latest kernel from the SuSE 9.1 FTP server (in Change or Install Software) -- it worked, but I had no ethernet connection, so I rolled back to where I am now.

So, is there a way to update my 9.0 Pro 2.4.x.x kernel to 2.6 through YOU? Or, if not that, then is there a way to upgrade my entire system to a newer version of SuSE (to 9.3 perhaps)?

Thanks in advance

Kernel upgrades are provided thru YOU as they relate to security. 2.4 to 2.6 is best done as a version upgrade to 9.3 -- otherwise you may be in dependency hell. Free for download 9.3 install DVD and CDs have been made available by Novell/SuSE -- Google is our friend. Although version upgrades can be run, many people back up their data and do a new install followed by a data restore. IMHO 9 to 9.3 is very worthwhile.

OK, thanks, I'll just back up my /home/ directory and download that DVD version of 9.3.
