ipod

Everything works just fine with my ipod nano except from this: when i try to safely remove ipod(right click on window browswer) i get this error message:
unmount: /media/ipod is not in the fstab(and you are not root)
Please check that the device is plugged correctly
I have to turn off my pc in order to remove ipod

Don't worry too much. You can try 'eject /media/ipod' from command line, but I don't think this is even necessary. Mounting is done by submount when a device is needed. If you don't access the iPOD, you can just unplug, ignoring the warning on your iPOD.

You are likely to do more damage to it if you simply turn off the PC than if you yank it out at the wrong time, you should really, to make sure that Data has been written successfully, unmount the file system

so as root in the console enter

umount /media/ipod

But I wouldnt worry too much
