sorry for my bad english ...
So, I have a small network:
a desktop (ip 192.168.6.100), with xp and opensuse installed, and a Samsung ML 1710p printer installed and working gut on both OS. On suse, I did install the printer using Yast, very easy. This one is running usually suse, bat for some reasons I have to run windows sometimes.
a notebook (ip 192.168.6.105) running only suse. I did install that Samsung printer on this one as network printer through samba (when the desktop is running xp) xor cups (when the desktop is running linux). At this moment, on notebook the printer is installed through cups, and the desktop is running XP, so I can't print.
To print, I have to reboot the desktop in Linux, or (using yast) to delete the printer installed and install it trough samba. This is how I know to do. I wish to have 2 printers installed on notebook: 1 through samba and 1 through cups, both pointing to the same physical printer and using them depending wich OS is running the desktop.
As I sayd, I can't install the second printer....
When I'm trying, using yast, to add a printer, usin the "Add" button, nothing is happening sometimes, or is asking me if I want to add a new queue. If I say no, the first printer is removed and I install a new one. If I say yes it doesn't asking me about type of printer (local, cups, samba etc), ..., is just adding a "unknown printer". If I try to configure by hand, is deletenig the first one.
What to do?
Once again, sorry for my english, and I hope you understand my issue.
