How do I configure Samba file share on two Linux servers

I used Yast to configure Samba for file system and having trouble understanding the process. I would appreciate if you can give me step by step how to configure Samba to mount directory from one server to another server.

Samba isn't used to share between Linux machines. It's used for Windows machines to be able to see/use a Linux box. If you want to see what's used on another Linux machine, you can create a folder say in /mnt, and then establish the path to the other machine's folder. You will need to insure that the proper directory/folder/user/group permissions are established on the machine providing the files.

If you're using SuSE 10.1, you want to use NFS Server and NFS Client in YaST > Network Services. The NFS Server settings will guide you through setting up a shared directory on the server machine, and the NFS Client will help you mount that shared directory on the client box. It should be fairly simple using YaST to do it.

I haven't used SuSE in a long time, so I'm not sure if this applies to versions before 10.1, but it likely does. If you can't do it through YaST, there are many guides for setting up NFS. This site isn't the best guide I've seen, but it does go through the basics. Google 'setting up NFS' and you should find everything you need.
