Ftp


I need to open ftp service for uploading my files but cant get working. I am opening the ftp services but when i am attempting to login on the remote machine it is not accepting my password.

Well, for starters you should not login through ftp as root. It's not very safe. You could log in as anonymous and give a fake email. That's how my friends login in my ftp.

did it and logged in but at this time it didnt give me any permission to do anything even ls is not working. Btw i was sure that i had given the correct password.
