Firefox 2.0 installation

I am trying to install Firefox 2.0 and I keep running in to this error:/home/ray/MozillaFirefox-2.0.0.2-6.1.i586.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
MozillaFirefox = 1.5.0.9 is needed by (installed) MozillaFirefox-transltions-1.5.0.9-0.2.i586

Firefox 1.5.0.9 is installed.

What can I do to fix this?

Better still, he should get the MozillaFirefox-translations for version 2.x and install it at the same time as the MozillaFirefox 2.x rpm.

How about getting the tar.gz of Firefox 2, then untar to say /opt, remove the firefox binary in /usr/bin and replace with a symlink to your new copy in /opt .

openSUSE still splits the two, so you have to install MozillaFirefox and MozillaFirefox-translations.

Thanks for all the replies. Removing Mozilla Translations 1.5.0.9 did it. Thanks again.

if you install it with tarball, it is like a stand alone application, no dependencies problem will occur.
