faster boot?


suse 9.3 pro boots much slower than winxp ..
is there a way to boot it up faster?

most of the linux distros do not support parallel services start during boot process in contrast to BSD or OS X or windows w2k xp.
either implement parallel boot or dont reboot too often.
parallel boot process can be implemented using runit:

yup why suse (9.3) booting is slow? I need to get in X windows for 1mnt 20 sec.....wow that's boring.....
