You should include the address of web pages that you are asking about. We shouldn't have to go to Google to find the page.
http://software.opensuse.org/
On that page click on the 'Get It' button.
Now once the frame switches to the download options I don't see what you describe. Instead I see links to download a live CD of OpenSuSE with different configurations. One is a live CD using the KDE desktop in English only. Another is a live CD using the Gnome desktop in English only. Another is a bootable CD image to perform a network installation in English only. The DVD image contains support for all available languages as well as all non proprietary software in their repository.
If you want to run OpenSuSE with English language support you could download and burn any of the live CD images or the network installation bootable CD image.
The answer to your question is that you are seeing links to the image file as well as links to checksum information. The checksum information is used to verify the accuracy of the file that you downloaded. In other words the checksum is used primarily to check for errors.
The MD5 is usually just used to check the accuracy of a download. The GPG and SHA1 are most often used to ensure that you got an official copy rather than some copy from an unauthorized source.
