Question cann't install xerox phaser 3121 printer

I got a new xerox phaser 3121 GDI printer and the installer CD don't work. I downloaded the driver installer from xerox site but same as on the CD.
My Linux is SuSE 10.0 x86_64.
I tried to install manually, but PPD file is probably older then required by CUPS. (missing some keywords from PPD file) After that I put those keywords into PPD file, the printer started, but only the next error message printed:

INTERNAL ERROR - FALSE
Position: 0xyyyy (in decimal)
SYSTEM : H6FWSIM/xl_pa_sim
LINE : 249
VERSION : QPDL 1.16 10-29-2003

The position was different from case to case.
I tried to change the original ppmtospl2 filter to foomatic-rip, the result was same as above.

Can anybody help me?

This driver is huge! (47Mb) Is this what you used? No wonder you're annoyed.

Xerox certainly claims this printer is linux compatable. Looks like you have a valid claim for customer support there.

So... what is on line 249?

HI !
Yes, I downloaded this, but this one is not only a driver. This package contains an older CUPS binary package, an older version of glibc binary package, etc..., and contains some phaser 17xx PPD files, some installation scripts, an some installator programs in binary. Therefore is huge this "driver".
The original installation script traps on x86 architecture with illegal memory accessing, and the x86_64 architecture is unknown for its, the script exits without any doing and any message.
This PPD-s are probably old versions, because the YAST printer installator sends a lot of error message if I want to install from package. If I put it the CUPS library manually, then the printer starts but not prints.
After 3 days of intensive internet searching I found a weak forum citation for the analougeness between of this printer and the Samsung ML-1710. When I defined my phaser 3121 as ML-1710 the printer (used by the SuSE standard ML-1710 PPD file - this procedure creates a new queue, and the old xerox queue remains uninitialized), the printer begins work.
Probably the only problem with this is the printable area definition, because the top/left and left/bottom corner flags are not completes.
