I'm buying a DVD burner and iwas wondering which one perfect for a system running SuSE?

and by perfect i mean i just plug in the dvdrw drive and just start burning away with k3b...

Honestly, I've never had a problem with plextor, TDK, and most recently Memorex.

First of all, I really like Plextor, the drives are very durable, got a writter now for over 8 years and no problems, but the problem with Plextor DVD writters is that they are very picky with the compatible DVD's , my writer px708A only gives 100% with TDK all other media is corrupted, but unfortunatly it doesn't even show up during burning, but afterwards when trying to access the data - and I'm not the only one with problems such as these

I'd recommend you the BenQ DW1620
