best way to upgrade apache on suse linux server 11 sp1


hi,

im using suse linux server 11 with apache httpd 2.2.10. im looking to upgrade apache httpd. im new to this and im not sure how should i proceed. im confuse because the installation dir is diff from the usual /usr/local/apache2. and im not sure if i should compile a rpm?

tks anyone.

For SuSE, enable YaST. Then use YaST to update everything. If you get a better kernel, restart the server. Otherwise, stop and then restart apache. Try to do this when no one else is logged into the server. Whether you use the gui or the cli to update shouldn't matter.
