Adjusting Keyboard and Mouse Settings

Using SuSE 10.0 and Gnome, invoking either SaX2 or YaST > Hardware does not provide any options to adjust my keyboard delay and repeat values nor my mouse motion and acceleration.

How can I make these adjustments and also make them permanent?

Try searching the SuSE help center.

I know I can change those settings in the KDE control center, so it should be in the GNOME equivelant.

Schalken,

There was no way I could find to locate and adjust the necessary parameters from within Gnome either as a user or logged in as root. Like you, I knew KDE had the tools, and in the end, I had to add and use KDE to make those changes. I also decided to forgo Gnome and adopt KDE as my default display manager from that point forward. This one problem was not the only issue I had with Gnome, and I now feel Gnome is not worthy of further consideration in the Linux world.
