Mail checker applet?

Hey-
i use Kontact for my email. Is there something that can run in the system tray that will notify me when i have mail without having to leave Kontact open all the time?

Thanks,
-myk

Well, Kontact will still be open and taking up RAM, but you can make the Window disappear on command.

Settings -> Configure KMail

Click Appearance Icon, select System Tray Tab

Check Enable System Tray Icon and 'Always show in System Tray'.

Now, clicking on the resulting system tray icon will hide/reveal Kontact. You can also initiate a manual mail check, and open a new email for editing, by right clicking the icon.
