VPN in solaris and linux


I want to set up VPN in solaris or Linux. Can someone recommend me a powerful
VPN software? thanks.

Solaris has ipsec already.

Hey, there are a few you could use but the more popular are http://www.poptop.org/ not sure about solaris side but it has a Linux client available and a daemon and also http://openvpn.net.

I tried to install the pptop software.. After installing kernel-mppe, I can not
probe the module of ppp.

# modprobe ppp-compress-18

I wonder why? My linuc is RH9.
