Midnight Commander 4.6.2 (also 4.6.1) - F1 to F12 keys doesnt work

Hi all,

I have tried to compile Midnight Commander for Solaris 10 Sparc x64. Everything was fine till I start using MC. The problem is that the keys F1 up to F12 doesnt work. As You know its realy hard to do something if its not working.

I can start Midnight Commander without any problems, but like I said controls keys F1-F12 are not working. How can I solve this problem ? SOmebody knows ?

greetings

You mean pressing any of these keys do nothing ?

Anyway, I doubt this is an mc issue but really a terminal emulator one. I'm using Solaris Express which already includes mc in the SUNWgnu-mc package. I just tried it and found some of the function keys are intercepted by gnome-terminal. The mc builtin workaround is to use "escape" followed by the key number (eg: esc 3 for F3, esc 0 for F10).

Alternatively, all function keys works fine with mc when launched in an xterm.
