Arrow Internet on solaris developer edition


Hi friends,i use BSNL broadband for my internet through a modem(a router) from ethernet port.i use a username and password to connect.Its dhcp .plz help me

I use solaris express developer edition 1/08.I use Intel 945 motherboard.
NIC was Realtek RTL8139/810x Family NIC.

Hi ,
All i could understand from your mail is that you have a BSNL connection..
That is infact immaterial
The point here is to see which version of Solaris are you using, more specifically which build?
you can use
#uname -a
it will list out the build your using.
Secondly you need to see if your OS has driver support for the NIC you have?
Also which NIC do you have?

It is only when we are clear with all these issues that we can actually look into connecting to the net...

PS:I would like to say "Welcome to the club"
I had some really tough times figuring out how to set up network on solaris.
Dont worry its now easy with a GUI pkg available
So first give us these details!!!
