Patching Solaris Express Developer Edition (05/07)
Hi,
I would like to apply the recommended patch set to my installation of Solaris Express Developer Edition (05/07). I am trying to follow the instructions on this site, but "showrev" returns something very different on my system. Instead of a number like "117350-27" I get "SunOS 5.11 snv_64a."
I tried doing a search with that kernel version number on Sun's site for the correct patch set, but nothing turned up. Can someone please tell me how I can find out the recommended patch number for Solaris Express Developer Edition (05/07), and also preferably point me to a page with instructions on how to install the patch set?

As far as I know, Solaris Express being continuously build on the latest source code, there are no patches for it as it is always up to date with them. Should you need a fix for an older version, either upgrade or reinstall the latest one.
So, jlliagre, would you recommend the use of Solaris Express Developer Edition in a production environment? Yesterday I installed the 05/07 build on my workstation at work. If I don't upgrade to the latest release each time, should I feel comfortable about using Solaris Express at work?

I don't think that, as its name states, the Developer Edition is not suitable for a production environment: Solaris 10 should be used instead. In my organization, we use Solaris Express Developer Edition as development platform, but we compile, test and deploy on a Solaris 10 environment.
